How can I display/hide the horizontal navigation bar?

You can set the header to two sizes. In the small version the horizontal navigation bar is hidden, when the header is enlarged it is displayed.

To set the size of the header, click the person icon on the right side of the header, then click the button under "Enlarge or reduce the header".

Please note: If the size of the browser window falls below a certain limit, the navigation bar will be hidden in any case. The person icon mentioned above is then also no longer available.

How can I set which role is selected by default after I log in?

• In the menu path Service > Personal Settings, click Define default role.
• Then you can set a new default role by  clicking on the associated star icon with green arrow, which will move the star to the Default column.
• Then click on Save.

Close and open page elements (boxes)

On some HohCampus pages there are page elements in the form of boxes that can be collapsed and expanded, e.g., on the home page and in search forms. These can be expanded or collapsed by clicking on the title of the box:

Please note:

• It is possible that not all boxes on the home page can be minimized.
• Some boxes change their content, e.g. some are filled with new messages/information every now and then. So think carefully before you minimize such boxes.
• Home page box My Messages: This content can also be viewed via the bell icon in the header no matter which page you are on, not just on the home page.

Customize homepage

In some roles, the homepage can be customized: Boxes (called portlets) can be added, removed, and rearranged, tabs can be administered, and the column layout can be changed. You can find out how to do this and in which roles these options are available here.
