According to Art. 15 of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (EU-GDPR), you are entitled to free information about whether your personal data are being processed and, if so, which personal data are involved. In principle, a copy of the data can be requested provided that no legal exception applies. Information on individual processing operations

Processing of log data (access data): When you use the website, the access to pages, whether the access was successful, the time, the transferred data volume, and the IP address of the requesting computer are collected to detect errors. The IP address is stored in a shortened form, so that identification is not possible or only possible with an effort that is disproportionate to the expected gain in knowledge. Processing is carried out only internally and on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 e) EU-GDPR, whereat the task in the public interest is the maintenance of stable IT operations and the identification of attacks and malfunctions. The stored log data are erased automatically after 7 calendar days

Account

To use non-public areas of the website, e.g. applicant and alumni management, you need a user account. To create the account, the following personal data are required: Title, surname, first name, email address, and a password of your choice. No user account can be assigned without the complete provision of this data and therefore the non-public areas of the website cannot be used. Processing is carried out on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 e) EU-GDPR for the purpose of restricting access to non-public, protected parts of the University of Hohenheim's website for registered users. The account data will not be transmitted to third parties. Erasure takes place at the express request of the user.
